Every year, more than 2,000 volunteers join us from Bridgeport, Fairfield County, and communities throughout Connecticut.

Volunteer Across Our Programs
FEEL THE WARMTH MOBILE HOT MEALS
Join our Thursday evening team to prepare and serve hot, nutritious meals to neighbors throughout the community.
This hands-on, high-energy opportunity is well suited for individuals, families, and organized groups.
SUPER FOOD PANTRY
Help receive, organize, and distribute groceries every Wednesday. Volunteers assist with setup, food sorting, fresh produce, neighbor check-in, and distribution.
Baby Center
Help support families with young children by organizing and distributing diapers, infant formula, baby food, and wipes to more than 400 babies and their parents each month.
Adult Education Program
Share your skills as an English-language instructor, literacy tutor, financial-literacy presenter, computer-literacy guide, or classroom volunteer.
There Is a Place for Everyone
We welcome volunteers from different ages, backgrounds, communities, and experience levels.
Whether you speak English, Spanish, or another language, whether you are volunteering for the first time or have years of service experience, your time and abilities can make a difference.
- Individuals: Volunteer for one shift or commit to a regular schedule.

Age requirements may vary by program and activity. Younger volunteers may need to participate with an adult or serve in an approved assistant role.
Build Your Team While Serving the Community
nOURish BRIDGEPORT welcomes businesses, nonprofit teams, schools, civic organizations, and faith communities for organized volunteer experiences.
We will work with your group to create an opportunity that fits your size, schedule, interests, and service goals.
Group volunteer days may include food preparation, pantry support, sorting and packing supplies, distribution assistance, farm-related activities, and other projects based on current program needs.
Every participant leaves with a stronger connection to the community and a clearer understanding of the challenges local families face.
